Summary
This was a very interesting cafe. We’ve been to a lot of places in Tremont near Lincoln Park, but this one was just as unique as the other ones. The entrance is a little awkward — if there’s a line, you have to walk past all the people to get to the back of the line (we had to do this…). They offered a very wide variety of espresso beverages as well as many different flavored syrups. When we walked in, we instantly got excited because they had chocolate muffins (Joe is a sucker for a good chocolate muffin). These muffins ended in disappointment… :( This place also featured a variety of different records, art, and comic books to look through. They also had a second floor with seating that looked pretty comfortable if you wanted to sit and stay awhile. There was a good amount of street parking directly outside the shop so it was nice that we didn’t have to walk a mile. Staff was nice, but I’m not 100% sure they know how to make a proper latte. While I watched them make it I saw them filling my cup practically to the brim with milk and putting a little tickle of espresso on top.
What we ordered
Sarah: Iced Hazelnut Latte — as said in the summary, my drink tasted like milk with a hint of coffee. 5/10.
Joe: Iced Vanilla Latte and a chocolate muffin — very sweet, muffin was “eh”.
